Description

Emerald Expositions, a leader in b2b tradeshows and publications, seeks an Account Executive for our Design Publications team. In this position, you will be responsible for selling print and digital marketplace, classified, and logo advertisements to current accounts for back of book placement for design:retail and KBB magazines. You will primarily be selling over the phone and through email. You will also be responsible for aggressive prospecting to develop new print and digital accounts and feed larger prospects to Account Executives. You will coordinate with editorial and production on products such as buyers’ guides and directories to ensure accounts are properly represented.

Your other key responsibilities will include:

  • Sales & placement of specialty advertising
  • Proofing of all specialty issues prior to publication
  • Partnering with production on all ad material collection
  • Partner with Art Director on special placements of ads
  • Selling and placement of advertising in trade show directories
  • Input/update appropriate information in CRM
  • Point of contact between Account Receivables, credit, and billing
  • Special projects for sales team as needed
  • Attend associated and competitor tradeshows (travel less than 15%)
Requirements

As a qualified candidate, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of business development experience - preferably in print and/or digital ad sales.  
  • Newspaper or magazine industry experience a plus
  • Experience with outbound telephone sales
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in a CRM system a plus but not required.
