We are seeking an English Editor (Manager/Assistant Manager level) to join our Internal Communications team. The role will spearhead the creation and editing of compelling content to support KPMG China's firm-level, leadership and various communications to target audiences. This role requires a blend of storytelling, professional understanding of the business and ability to write with a strategic mindset.
Strong writing/editing, design sense, and software skills (PowerPoint) is required. Able to collaborate with different business teams and stakeholders to meet deadlines, turning complex information into compelling narratives for target audiences.
The successful candidate's key duties include crafting, editing, and proofreading contents for internal (and some external) channels, visually enhancing written content (reports, articles, ppt presentations and visual assets) which align with branding requirements, collaborating with internal subject matter experts, and managing projects from draft to final deliverable.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Editing: Review, edit, and proofread written materials (newsletters, reports, ppt presentation, articles, executive speech) for grammar, clarity, style and accuracy to ensure message is delivered with impact.
- Visual Storytelling: Transform data and ideas into visually engaging presentations, infographics, and layouts using design principles.
- Leadership Communications: Able to rephrase Chinese contents (including but not limited to announcement/message/script) to native English language. The message should be clear, easy to understand, and well written.
- Newsletter Refresh: Able to bring ideas to newsletter framework, style and approach and execute them with the team to better engage employees from time to time.
- Collaboration: Work with subject matter experts, and stakeholders to understand goals and refine content.
- Branding & Standards: Ensure all materials adhere to company style guides, tone, and brand messaging. Understanding of writing styles for various formats (social media, announcement, videos, etc.). Provide an annual English writing workshop for team members.
- Project Management: Manage timelines, multiple projects, and ensure timely delivery of polished outputs.
- Native English speaker with a university degree holder in Communications, Journalism, English or a related discipline
- Five years and above experience in communications at a sizeable international company
- Strong communication, time management, problem-solving, and ability to give/receive feedback. Strong attention to detail.
- Work experience in professional services or consulting firms is a plus.
- Experience in managing leadership LinkedIn account a plus
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager
