Description
Job DescriptionReporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing Enablement and Events, the Event Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and executing thoughtful & effective, results-oriented events that build pipeline and grow the company's business. The ideal person thrives on incorporating data-driven analytics to refine and hone execution.
A Day in the Life
- Lead development of company's strategy for trade shows, industry events and customer events that differentiates the Momentive brand in the market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities
- Proactively evaluate events for participation, and recommend event calendar based on RO
- Secure space at approved events and manage all contracts & vendor relationships.
- Execute event strategy, including all pre-planning, onsite management of medium and larger events, and post-event follow up to optimize ROI
- Establish targets for event performance and report outcomes on a timely basis
- Manage suppliers and partners, as required, including negotiating contracts, arranging hotels, renting equipment, setting up and breaking down exhibits, etc.
- Coordinate tradeshow plans to maximize company exposure and produce leads aligned to company objectives and areas of focus
- Prepare all company representatives for event participation to ensure cohesive execution of event plan, including pre-show, onsite and post-show processes; conduct pre-show meetings, provide comms packages, set expectations for participation, etc.
- Manage budgets, including all aspects of event participations (e.g., exhibitor fees, sponsorships, equipment rentals, vendors, logistics, shipping, etc.)
- Perform duties, as required, to facilitate the effective and efficient performance of the company's events program
- Motivate BDR and sales team and collaborate on effective event sales techniques, including lead tracking to ensure proper attribution
- Create post-event recap reports to recommend continuous improvements for end-to-end events
- Ensure regular knowledge and best practice sharing among internal and external team
- Submit contracts, purchase orders and expenses on a timely basis and in full compliance with company policies
- Support other company events, as needed
We are looking for someone who brings
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in B2B environment, providing event management
- Bachelor's degree required
Technical / Computer Skills
- Prior management of event applications and tools like Asana and Salesforce
- Proficiency in event management tools, CRM software, and marketing automation platforms
Other Skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks and work in fast-paced environment
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Effective negotiator
- Proven ability to execute event marketing strategies that drive business outcomes
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment
- Enjoys problem solving in real time: resourceful, dependable and organized
- Knowledge and experience of associations and/or non-profits a plus
- Experience working with senior executives a plus
- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Physical Demands
- Travel up to ~50% required
- Exertion of up to 20 pounds of force is occasionally required and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects in relation to the company's event participation
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, pushing, and pulling are occasionally required in relation to the company's event participation
- Standing for duration of event exhibit hours (with reasonable breaks) also required
