The Content Marketing Manager runs the strategy and execution of marketing initiatives. Also responsible for curating consumer-targeted content from book to online publication and manage the overall editorial calendar and daily publication schedule for an emerging platform in the leadership/business category. The Content Marketing Manager will maintain quality and consistency across media types (social media, blog, email, video, podcasts) and drive increased traffic and brand visibility while meeting specific goals for content (ROI and KPIs).

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

· Strong grasp of current digital marketing tools and strategies

· Ability to understand audience and develop content as resources for their specific needs

· Evaluate emerging technologies

· Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

· Ability to brainstorm new and creative growth strategies

· Ability to manage large amounts of content, quickly and accurately

· Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (Google Analytics) and HTML code

· Experience with WordPress, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

· Experience with email platforms (IBM Watson, MailChimp, etc.) is a plus

· Experience with eCommerce platforms is a plus

Work Experience: 4 to 5 years experience in publishing, marketing, eCommerce, or mass media.

Education: B.A. in Journalism, Communications, English, Media Studies, Marketing, or Design

Industry Knowledge: Prior book publishing experience not a requirement
