In this role, you will offer therapeutic support to individuals seeking to improve their relationship with alcohol and other substances through a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches. As a vital member of our clinical team, you will be instrumental in providing personalized care plans that cater to the unique goals and needs of our patients.

Work Environment
This remote role allows you the flexibility to set your own availability while ensuring you meet the needs of our patients. You will be working from the comfort of your own home, supported by a dedicated team that handles administrative tasks such as billing, allowing you to focus on delivering top-notch clinical care. With access to clinical operations teams and coordination support, you will be equipped to provide the highest level of support to both your clients and your professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients seeking support related to their alcohol consumption and related challenges.
- Develop personalized treatment plans informed by a thorough assessment of each client's unique situation and recovery goals.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing to facilitate client progress.
- Understand and implement a harm-reduction approach, offering tailored options on moderation versus abstinence to meet client preferences.
- Facilitate ongoing counseling sessions while incorporating community recovery support resources, including local support groups like AA and SMART Recovery, into treatment plans.
- Lead optional support groups and collaborate with the Content Manager to provide “Expert Insights” for the community.
- Participate in monthly peer group meetings for professional exchange and support.
- Make referrals and ensure clients receive comprehensive care, while maintaining an open line of communication regarding their recovery journey.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary clients will be individuals who are ready to explore their relationship with alcohol and seek support in navigating recovery. Many clients may be in various stages of their journey, including those contemplating moderation and those striving for abstinence. You will work closely with clients to offer empathetic guidance, robust engagement, and solutions that respect their personal recovery choices.
Qualifications
- A current and unrestricted license as an LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC in the state of Washington.
- Completion of relevant training and certifications in therapeutic practices including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care.
- A thorough understanding of harm-reduction philosophies and their application within treatment.
- Exceptional clinical engagement skills along with the ability to build rapport and empathy with clients.
- Knowledge of community recovery initiatives and their integration into the treatment process.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a telehealth or remote counseling environment.
- Background in treating substance use disorders or co-occurring mental health issues.
- Familiarity with various community-based support options and resources.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
