Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality therapy sessions for clients seeking to change their relationship with alcohol, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Work autonomously to set your own availability, with no minimum hours required, giving you the freedom to balance work and personal life.
• Manage client interactions effectively, ensuring timely responses and maintaining open communication regarding their therapeutic journey.
• Participate in and potentially lead support groups, providing a collaborative space for clients to share experiences and insights.
• Reduce administrative burdens, as our dedicated team handles billing and paperwork, allowing you to prioritize client care.
• Engage with our Content Manager to produce insightful materials, enhancing the therapeutic resources available to clients.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in monthly peer group discussions to enhance clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Branches of Growth primarily serves individuals looking to establish healthier relationships with alcohol. Many clients may request a harm-reduction approach rather than complete abstinence, and it is important that our counselors are adept at understanding and implementing this model. You will work collaboratively with clients to recognize their unique needs, fostering an environment of empathy and support.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Strong clinical engagement skills with the ability to connect compassionately with clients.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic practices, including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care.
• A solid understanding of community recovery support options (e.g., AA, Smart Recovery) and how these can complement our therapeutic offerings.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with clients who have a history of alcohol use and dependency.
• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and digital tools to deliver therapy services.
• Familiarity with different therapeutic modalities and client-centered practices.
• Previous experience in community outreach or engagement with recovery support networks.
