Work Environment
This position is entirely remote, allowing for unparalleled flexibility and work-life balance. Although you will be part of a virtual team, you will have ongoing support from our best-in-class Clinical Operations and Care Coordination Teams. Our outpatient office setting is designed to enhance your ability to effectively engage with clients through telehealth technologies, minimizing administrative burdens so that you can focus on delivering exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to create customized therapy plans that resonate with their individual recovery goals.
- Utilize evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care, to facilitate impactful therapy sessions.
- Understand and implement the harm-reduction model, empowering clients to choose moderation as an option where applicable.
- Encourage clients to access community support resources, including Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Smart Recovery, and Moderation Management, while affirming that these supports complement the therapy offered at Branches of Growth.
- Set personal availability and manage your schedule flexibly without a minimum required number of hours, while also keeping the ability to receive payment for late cancellations or no-shows.
- Participate in peer group discussions and collaborate with our Content Manager on initiatives like “Expert Insights,” providing optional opportunities for professional visibility and networking.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clients often seek guidance in navigating their relationship with alcohol, ranging from those looking for full abstinence to those aiming for moderation. We focus on providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals motivated to make lasting changes in their lives. The counselor's role is pivotal in building trust and fostering therapeutic relationships that empower clients in their recovery journey.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field is mandatory, with advanced degrees preferred.
- Strong understanding and certification in modalities such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and other trauma-informed techniques are highly valued.
- Exceptional clinical engagement skills, with a demonstrated ability to exhibit empathy and understanding in therapeutic settings.
Preferred Experience
- Experience within positions focused on addiction treatment or community-based mutual support groups is beneficial.
- Familiarity with various community recovery support options and the ability to integrate this knowledge into patient care would be advantageous.
- Prior experience in a remote counseling or telehealth role is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
