Key Responsibilities
- Define your own availability, providing the flexibility to maintain a work-life balance that suits your personal needs.
- Receive compensation for late cancellations and no-shows, eliminating financial worries related to fluctuations in client attendance.
- Complete Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually, with costs covered by Sunshine Community Psychiatric Services, to help you stay current in your field.
- Collaborate with our Content Manager to create 'Expert Insights,' contributing your specialized knowledge to the broader community (optional).
- Optionally lead support groups to enhance client engagement and foster peer connections.
- Receive client referrals, streamlining your intake process and helping you build a diverse caseload.
- Participate in monthly peer groups for sharing insights and professional development, providing opportunities for networking and collaboration.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clients primarily seek assistance in modifying their relationship with alcohol, including those who may be exploring moderation as an alternative to abstinence. You will be working with individuals who express a variety of needs, from those seeking counseling and support groups to clients requiring tailored treatment plans. Understanding the harm-reduction model is critical, as is providing empathetic care that acknowledges and integrates community recovery support options such as AA, Smart Recovery, and Moderation Management. Our focus is on holistic recovery, supporting each client's unique journey.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as either LCSW, LCSW-R, LMFT, or LMHC in the state of New York.
- Experience with therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Treatment.
- Strong clinical engagement skills and the capability to empathetically connect with clients of diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of community recovery support options and an understanding of how these can augment our therapeutic services.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, experience in integrated treatment approaches and familiarity with digital therapeutic platforms may be advantageous. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in engaging with clients dealing with substance use issues and supporting their recovery journeys through evidence-based practices.
Compensation and Benefits
Our compensation package is competitive, with an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, complemented by performance bonuses.
